I have read the book and have watched the movie. Yes, I have been prey to the Da Vinci Code hype. What can I say? I'm only human, subject to curiosity and herd mentality. Someday, I will find it in myself to forgive this foolish display of contibuting to Brown's already inflated fame and fat wallet. Someday, but not very soon. Just... someday.

Now about the movie; of course the book is way better and more exciting than the movie. However, I don't think watching it will cause too much disappointment. On the other hand, I never kept my hopes up in the first place. I think it would be safe to say that you should only watch it only if you have time and money to spare. Sure it's no investment on your intellect, but neither would you be going down the evolutionary ladder by watching it.
