*another post born out of boredom

It used to be that highlighters are useful in marking important words and phrases for easy retrieval or recall, yet with the amount of information we have to store in our chosen line of profession, I think a black marker would be more useful -- in marking out unnecessary details, such as prepositions and conjunctions. Yep, a black marker oughta do the trick.

One problem though: I would never, for the life of me, give up my highlighters. My brain is already primed up to absorb only those information which are marked in yellow green highlight. No, this is not neurosis. It is just that my faith in highlighting has gotten so strong over the years that it has become easier for me to store and remember highlighted text. Highlighting has revolutionized the way I have studied. It has helped me pass all of my exams . It is quite obvious that highlighting has changed my life forever.

In conclusion, I submit that highlighting is not merely a habit nor a compulsion of a psychoneurotic mind. It is far more than that.

HIGHLIGHTING IS A RELIGION.

*tip for the novice highlighter freaks: Use Faber-Castell markers. The effect is simply marvelous. The highlighted text will automatically jump out of the page and into your wandering mind.
