Morbid indulgence

I am in that phase again where things no longer make sense.

I feel tense, confirmed by my anxiety-induced dyspnea. I am sleep-deprived and fatigued. My appeptite is a cherished memory now because even eating has become a luxury. That dull ache in my abdomen in the epigastric area is an unanswered call. There are more important things to do.

And yet, with all of these sacrifices, I cannot seem to get my grades up. My quiz scores never get past those seen in the electric fan. This life is not giving me any compensation for my hardwork. How am I expected to enjoy while studying if my efforts were to go unrewarded?

So much for cause and effect. Reading books won't give me high grades in medical school. I am at the mercy of my professors.
